Brian O'Riordan, born in 1962, and originally trained as a carpenter, is a self-taught artist from West Cork, who has been painting all his life.

His love for beauty and nature shines through in his artwork where he has a particular focus on the small details. 

On his extensive travels around Europe he is always in search of the perfect image for one of his paintings. Now living in the picturesque town of Kinsale with his dog he finds inspiration from the tranquility of the local landscape. He can often be found plein air painting in the beautiful surroundings of Kinsale. 

Brian's preferred medium is oil on canvas but he also works with other mediums such as pastel, watercolour, charcoal and pencil. 

His artwork is exhibited in various galleries and locations around the West of Ireland and he regularly takes part in different local events such as the Kinsale Art Weekend.
