"I was born in Villaputzu, Sardinia, but decided to leave at the age of seventeen to travel through Europe. The main stops were in Germany where I stayed one year, Paris where I remained three years and finally London where I lived with my wife and children for ten years.

I studied three years at Kensington and Chelsea College of Art where I gained a diploma in General Art and Design. Following Kensington and Chelsea I continued my studies at Central St. Martins, where I achieved an Honours Degree in Painting. London was hugely important in my development as an artist as the creative energy and diversity within the artistic community in London inspired me as an artist and that has remained with me to this day.

My work is primarily painting and exploring my interest in the study of colour and composition, inspired by the natural light of my sorroundings. The Mediterranean light and colour were always in his mind in London and when the opportunity arose, I returned to Sardinia with my family for two years and opened a small art class and continued my own study of the unique light and colours of my homeland. It was during this period that i completed the Baccu Locci collection which now hangs in our little Hotel in the west of ireland.

In 2005 I moved to Ireland with my family and settled on the West Coast near the city of Galway.  The rugged and dramatic landscapes and seascapes and for that matter skyscapes are of huge interest to me.  The west of Ireland light is transient and changes every moment so there is no shortage of material to keep me motivated to paint here. We opened a small Hotel called the Coach House in Oranmore, a small village on Galway Bay near Galway City and working for myself allows me the freedom to paint at my leisure.

I welcome you to view the galleries in my website, which displays work from the college years up to today.  I add work on a regular basis to the galleries and am working on a series of watercolours and oils from Ireland."
