Connolly, Patsy
Patsy Connolly is an artist living in the Burren, whose work is influenced by a deep  connection with nature and is described as abstract expressionistic layered with symbolism.

It echoes an interest in Jungian, archetypal psychology & alchemy, and draws on Unconscious Symbolism, Myth, Dream  motifs.
Her paintings depict an interplay between darkness, light and shadow, in a search for the underlying, the elemental.

The Raven Calls:- "This series of paintings attempts to depict the complexity of feelings, memories, notions evoked by the wonderful  Burren landscape, where the artist grew up.

They reflect the unconscious dark depths of the human psyche, the ghosts of the past, inherited ancestral rhythms & the eternal call to the upper echelons and the light. They address issues of life, struggle, death, decay and transformation."
