Carving the Oak
We have all seen in our minds eye
an image in a cloud.
The imagination tickled
by a shape so easily found.
The same is true of oak and pine
that the bogs have shaped in depths forbidden.
So my quest is not to alter
But to free the shape that’s hidden.
