Seamus Connolly

Seamus Connolly, sculptor, lives in Kilbaha, near Loop Head in Co. Clare, Ireland. Born in 1966, he trained to be a ceramic technician and in 1987 he completed a Bronze Foundry course at the Royal College of Art, London. He works mostly in bronze which he casts himself in his own foundry.

1985 Commemorative light relief in ceramics for Morris Minor Owners Club.
1995-98 Original artwork for a range of plaques and figurines for Connor Snow to be cold-cast in bronze for the gift trade.
1996 Original artwork and sculpture for Íarnród Éireann as architectural features in new station at Drogheda.
1996 Sculpture of Íarnród Éireann logo for architectural features in new station at Drogheda.
1997 Bronze sculpture of Jabb (race-horse) for Patrick Nolan, vet, presented to him on his retirement.
1997 Bronze sculpture with gliding theme, to be used as perpetual trophy by Dublin Gliding Club.
1997 Bronze hurling sculpture, commissioned by Roche Ireland, presented to An Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahearn and to the Swiss Ambassador.
1998 Bronze sculpture with water skiing theme, to be used as special achievement award by Dublin Water Skiing Club.
1999 Bronze sculpture as gift from Kilrush Urban Council to members of visiting committee from its twinned town of Plouzane, France.
1999 Bronze sculpture to commemorate the Brendan Voyage for private client.
2000 Restoration of religious statue, St Kieran, for Parish of Labasheeda.
2000 Bronze sculpture of water skier for use as best novice award by Dublin Water Skiing Club.

2006 Commission for animal sculpture for private client, Liz Granville to be completed 2007.
2006 Commission to sculpt and cast life size statue of John B. Keane (writer) unveiled May,2007 in Listowel , Co.Kerry.
