Natalya Nikolskaya is a self-taught artist who was born in Moscow in 1958. She initially pursued a career in medicine, and has a PhD. in neurology. She has had a long and distinguished career as a consultant neurologist in her native Russia and has also held research positions in Ireland and England.
On retiring from her career as a consultant neurologist, she moved with Irish husband to Co. Galway, where she has pursued her passion for painting on a full-time basis.
She held her first solo exhibition in Ireland in 2018, at the Latin Quarter Boutique Gallery in Redcross, Co. Wicklow, which was opened by minister of State, Andrew Doyle, T.D. Forthcoming exhibitions for 2019 include the New Year Collection at the Kenny Gallery, Galway and the Green Acres Open Submission Exhibition in Wexford.
Her work is held in numerous private collections in Leipzig, Germany; Moscow, Russia and Doha, Qatar.
