- Rosemount Decanter Design Competition at the National Museum of Decorative Arts, Collins Barracks, 2005,
- Represented the glass department of NCAD at Flaire in Belfast 2006.
- Have been accepted into Sculpture in Context (2007).
Commissions include:
The Forum of People with Disabilities 2001 (a carved work of Irish cherry wood with a beeswax finish) presented to Mary Robinson, High Commissioner for her office in Geneva.
Additional experiences and merits include:
Working with the Lambert Puppet Theatre to create a marionette, 'Angelina and Papillon' performed at the Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaoire, 2001. Received thirteen distinctions with Artlink and holds a Fetac Level Five Award, he retains a Cooks Ticket, received through his experience as a Merchants Seaman.
Darach is a Carpenter/ Joiner by trade. Spent several years with Irish Shipping as a Cook.
