Diarmuid Kavanagh
Born 1958.In his paintings Kavanagh celebrates the beauty of the bogs & marshes, the rivers and lakes of Wicklow and Mayo. He first captures the essence of the shapes and colours in pastel and watercolour. From these vibrant sketches, he completes the final painting in oils and in a vivid style tending to highlight the abstraction that is inherent in elemental nature.
