Amit Mediratta
Whether writing his thoughts over a coffee on Quay Street, busking with his classical guitar, swing-dancing to the various big bands around Galway by night, painting by candlelight until the dawn breaks or diligently studying the musical works of the great composers in his training as a jazz singer, Amit Mediratta has adopted the term 'artist' in describing his choice of lifestyle, vocation, career & spirituality.Born in Sligo in 1983 and raised in Limerick city, the Irish-Indian artist has hosted a number of exhibitions and installations within cafés and restaurants combining vibrant, abstract paintings, decorative art and extracts of his written word. With the aforementioned artforms expressing his every experience, he has devoted his life to the creative way. Together with his endeavours in painting, Amit has also self-published a number of collections of his writings.
The end of 2006 saw a dream realised with the acceptance of his first works into The Kenny Gallery.
