Lisa Ryder

Born in May 1983. Lisa studied for four years in the Galway / Mayo Institute of Technology, Cluain Mhuire, Galway. She is currently completing her masters in the Glasgow School Of Art in Textiles for Fashion. Lisa has been described as one of Irelands brightest talents by such publications as the Sunday business post, Western People and Irish Interiors.

Artist Statement

'My work is based on my six months of travel Where during my travels I past through many well know cities such as Bangkok, Sidney, London, New York etc. In this time I took series of photographs ranging from the buildings to the landmarks that identify the cities and I combined these images to form my energetic and vibrant designs. They are digitally printed onto a cotton satin fabric and I feel they capture the energy and movement that inspired me to be drawn to this graphic imagery.'
