Janet Vinnell

Janet Vinnell, a native of Dublin, Ireland, first began painting in oil and watercolour when she arrived in Galway fifteen years ago.

She began experimenting in pastel after seeing the work of pastellist Victor Richardson in Kennys Art Gallery. The discovery of chalk pastel has completely transformed her work. She takes great pleasure in depicting the constantly changing skyline of Galway.

She has exhibited for the last three years with local group Artscope and also participated in Mixed exhibitions in Kennys Art Gallery, Middle Street, Galway, and Timber Leaves, Barna, Galway and the Little Lane Gallery, Galway.
