Born in Steinfurt, Westfalia, Germany.1980: Graduated from Munster University with a degree in Fine Art and English.
Resident in Kinvara, Co. Galway, since 1988.

Current work:
Rita Wobbe's work is inspired by natural forms.
It has a semi-abstract quality. Her method of using thick oil paint over thin washes gives them a strong textural feel.
